Emma specialises in Family Law having gained experience in crime, civil and family law. She has experience of family work in the Family Proceedings Court, the County Court and the High Court covering a wide range of family issues including:
- Section 8 Applications;
- Seeking and preventing removal from the jurisdiction and recovery of children;
- Applications to transfer cases to other jurisdictions within and outside England & Wales;
- Representation of grandparents and step parents;
- Parents with learning difficulties;
- Teenage parents;
- Parents with alcohol or drug problems;
- Allegations of emotional, physical or sexual abuse;
- Domestic violence;
- Injunctions and committal hearings;
- Proceedings involving both Injunctions and the Children Act;
- Finance, and
- Care proceedings.
She has worked with the International War Crimes Tribunal in The Hague investigating indictable charges of crimes against humanity and observed the trial of three Serbs charged with these offences. Emma has also researched a high profile insurance case of asbestos claims and ship building for a firm of solicitors.
