Personal Injury:

Sabrina has extensive experience in all forms of personal injury work. She is regularly instructed in occupational disease, employer liability, fatal accident cases, public liability, occupier liability and RTA.

Sabrina is regarded as specialist counsel in the field of Occupational Disease. She is regularly instructed in NIHL, HAVS, COSHH, WRULD, Asbestos, Occupational Asthma and other Respiratory Diseases. She is regularly asked to advise on complex issues of causation, breach of duty and limitation and represents Claimants nationwide.

Sabrina also has an interest in multiple and significant orthopaedic injuries, chronic pain cases and fatal accident cases.

Sabrina lectures on all aspects in relation to Occupational Disease and Employer Liability.

She has written an article on Discount Rate and Investment Advice which was published in the Journal of Personal Injury Law in March 2018.

  • JH v GAL - Advising on liability and quantum in occupational asthma claim arising out of exposure to silica dust
  • JO v GVS – Advising Claimant on liability and quantum in an employer liability claim where Claimant has developed Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and Chronic Widespread Pain.
  • SR v MOD – Advising Claimant on future loss of earnings arising out of a medical discharge following a negligent accident at work
  • SG v AL – Advising Claimant on issues of contributory negligence and quantum where Claimant has suffered a traumatic brain injury
  • Novikovaite v Transport for London - Advised and successfully compromised dependency claim involving cohabitee and son arising out of the Croydon Trail Derailment. Dependency claim was pleaded in excess of 1 million.
  • Ansell v PA Baxter & Sons Limited – Advised on liability, quantum and successfully compromised employer liability claim where Claimant developed Complex Regional Pain Syndrome following fall from a ladder.
  • Casson v Winstanley & Barnett & Others – Successful at trial on limitation in a Noise-Induced Hearing Loss claim
  • Blanchard v Acordis UK Limited – Successful at trial in a Noise Induced Hearing loss claim where causation was an issue.
  • Besser v Bradken UK Limited – Advised and successfully compromised claim which included a provisional damages claim for a Claimant diagnosed with silicosis
  • Rhea Cross v Aviva Limited – Advised and successfully comprised claim for a pedestrian in road traffic accident claim in excess of £100,000

 

Clinical Negligence:

Sabrina acts exclusively for Claimants in a range of cases which includes but is not limited to delayed diagnosis of spinal injuries and surgical negligence. She advises both in writing and in conference and regularly drafts pleadings. She has particular experience of advising in conferences involving both experts and clients, able to explore complicated issues of breach and causation with an expert while simultaneously explaining the issues in clear and simple terms to clients.
