Tom Little QC succeeds in Court of Appeal (Civil Division) for the Attorney General
Tom Little QC is representing the Attorney General in a judicial review claim challenging the extent of the Attorney General's duty of superintendence over the DPP and the CPS. In May of this year the President of the Queen's Bench Division upheld a claim for PII made by the DPP and supported by the Attorney General in relation to various documents considered by the Attorney General in making the decision which is the subject of the judicial review claim. The Claimants appealed that interlocutory ruling to the Court of Appeal. The appeal was expedited and this morning the Court of Appeal refused them permission to appeal at an oral hearing.
