Shahram Sharghy has been instructed to represent the family of a three-month-old baby (AS) who died before a routine hernia operation. The baby developed complications when a breathing tube became displaced after being inserted into his throat. The initial post-mortem cause of death was said to be asphyxiation due to incorrect insertion of an endotracheal tube. AS died on the operating table despite efforts to resuscitate him for 45 minutes. The investigations continue and there will be a full Inquest later in the year at Southwark Coroner's Court. Shahram Sharghy is being instructed by Fieldfisher.
