Senior Fees Clerk

We have a vacancy for a Senior Fees Clerk, starting ASAP. Reporting to the Director of Clerking & Business Development and the Director of Operations, the post holder will be responsible for:

  • Improving and reporting members’ receipt collection
  • Prioritizing, communicating, and reporting outstanding fees
  • Maintain accurate, timely information about all cases is recorded after fees notes have been issued
  • Preparing and analysing regular financial reports for members, clerks, & chambers' management
  • Develop good relationships with instructing solicitors and other clients
  • Meeting members to resolve queries and maintaining consistently high standards of client/chambers' relationships
  • Supervise 2 other junior Fees Clerks

The ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the legal marketplace, and how a chambers works
  • Have 5+ years fees clerking experience
  • Be proficient with MS Office & Meridian
  • Be accurate & persistent when necessary
  • Have great telephone & writing skills
  • Support our ‘professional & approachable’ etho
  • Have great ‘people’ skills


Based on experience a competitive package and benefits will be available subject to satisfactory completion of a 3 month probation period.
