Practice Details

Roger was one of John Foy QC's pupils and received the best possible grounding in all aspects of Personal Injury and fatal accident cases. Having initially practised in all areas of common law work, for many years now he has specialised in Personal Injury, fatal accident and Clinical Negligence cases. He has a particular interest in occupational disease claims and is noted for his expertise in claims involving work related upper limb disorders (WRULD), asbestos and deafness. Roger is listed as a recommended junior for personal injury work by both Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession and the Legal 500

Cases

Mountenay v Bernard Matthews; 9 chicken processors suffering from various WRULDs.

Alexander v Midland Bank; 5 bank employees who developed diffuse WRULD.

Jones v Metal Box plc; The senior civil judge in the Cardiff County Court ruled in on 11th January 2007 that employers should have eliminated asbestos dust in their factory within at most 8 months of the “watershed” Sunday Times article of 31st October 1965. This issue has not been considered by the courts before and will pave the way for other successful claims relating to exposure to asbestos in the 1960s.
